With warm cinnamon apple slices and a gooey custard centre, this baked oatmeal will warm you up on those cold winter evenings. Made using VPA’s Salted Caramel or Vanilla Whey Protein, this sweet treat is packed with protein and sure to fill your tummy.

2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 ½ cup milk of choice
2 tablespoons maple syrup
70g VPA Salted Caramel (or Vanilla) WPI or WPC
2 cups oats
2 teaspoons baking powder
4-8 tablespoons low fat custard
3 tablespoons Biscoff spread (optional)
125g canned apple slices/ regular apple
1/2 -1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon granulated sweetener of choice
Preheat oven to 180°C and grease a baking dish.
In a bowl mix the bananas, milk, maple syrup, protein powder, oats and baking powder together. Pour half the batter into the baking dish.
Place dollops of custard and biscoff over the batter in the dish, then cover with the remaining batter.
Top with sliced apples, cinnamon and sweetener.
Bake for approx 30-35mins until the top is lightly golden and the mix is set. Enjoy warm with custard!
Serve warm by reheating in the microwave for 30-60 secs.
