Crossfit has taken the fitness and competitive sports world by storm, and for good reason. It is recognised that crossfit is possibly the best representation of physical fitness, as athletes are challenged with the task of competing against the worlds fittest people in the toughest workout routines imaginable. These workouts combine physical strength, explosive power lifting, muscular endurance, gymnastic ability and cardiovascular stamina to test the limits of the physical human potential.
Crossfitters require fast recovery as their WODs (workout of the day), is at such a high intensity back to back they cannot afford to be sore. For this they consumer BCAA’s during and directly after training as it digests instantly and works to rebuild the muscle fast. For a protein source they prefer the purest form of protein, WPI, which is lean and highly absorbed into the muscles. Prior to training they will consume a strong but safe pre-workout (Pre-30 is safe for all sports), to power them through the gruelling workouts. They will combine this with creatine for increase strength and beta alanine to fight muscle fatigue as it is an active lactic acid buffer.
