Marsden State High School has a very proud rugby league history and is only one of six schools in South-East Queensland to be given automatic qualification into the GIO National Schoolboys Cup. The Excellence Program offers students a direct pathway into the NRL through it's affiliation with the Brisbane Broncos. The aim of the Program is to produce well-rounded athletes, unlocking both the student's rugby league and academic potential.
We are very excited to be working with Marsden, as our current VPA Athlete and NRL superstar Cameron Smith developed his Rugby League skills as a student at Marsden State High School. We look forward to supporting the next generation of Australia's finest athletes as they develop through this highly professional school-based program and into professional rugby league careers in the coming years.
