Introducing VPA Augmented Reality (AR) Viewer


AR VIEWER is available on:

  • iOS: iPhone 6S and newer, running iOS 11.0 and newer
  • The AR functionality on Android requires the AR Core app for it to work. AR core is supported on Android 7.0 and newer.

At this stage, only the products listed below are AR ready, but we will be adding more.


How it works

View the Product in your existing physical space; may it be at the gym, your kitchen bench or anywhere else.

Why AR for VPA products?

  • You can view what our products look like (size and image) on your desk or benchtop before you purchase. This makes your buying decision much easier.
  • Share your AR images on social media. We would also love you to get creative with screen dumps of your favourite VPA products in cool and exotic locations (or even at the gym). Please remember to tag our Instagram: @vpa_australia.

 

How do I view?

  • You need an Apple or Android phone loaded with the latest iOS or Android updates.
  • Go to our site at www.vpa.com.au and click on the links to view any of our best sellers. On the product page, you'll see a link to view the product in AR.
  • Point your camera phone at a stable surface (such as a desk or the floor) and then view the item prior to your purchase.

 

Are all VPA products available in AR?

  • Not at this stage.

 

Can I view AR on my PC/laptop/tablet?

  • Tablet - yes (see requirements below)
  • PC/Laptop - no, as the in-built web cameras do not work in the same manner as your camera phone; however, you will receive a QR code to scan on your phone which will take you to the product AR viewer.

 

I don't have a QR reader, what do I do?

  • Yes, you do! - if you're running the latest Android/iOS software on your phone then you will be able to use your camera as a QR reader! Just point your camera at the QR code and voila! Pretty cool, right?!

 

I'm unable to use AR, what can I do?

  • Make sure your phone has the latest software updates or upgrade your phone. Apologies, but we are not able to troubleshoot the AR viewer for you.

 

Are VPA AR products a guarantee for product packaging and size?

  • Whilst we do everything to make sure that the product is an accurate representation of our products, we obviously cannot guarantee packaging/sizing etc to your product, so please keep this in mind.
