One thing we particularly love is the emphasis on using natural ingredients and easy home remedies you can whip up in your own kitchen. Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food, am I right? 

So, let’s talk about ginger. 

By now we already know that this root plant has been used for itsculinary and medicinal purposes for thousands of years. Ginger has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-cancer properties, making it an effective natural remedy for a range of health conditions and symptoms, including nausea, indigestion, joint pain, menstrual pain, and more. Whether consumed as a drink or in its raw form, ginger is a versatile and beneficial addition to any healthy diet. 

There’s plenty of ways to add ginger to your diet.Let’s get creative with simple, easy-to-make ginger beverages! 

Healthy Drinks with Ginger

With just a few fresh ingredients, these recipes are so easy to whip up and pack a lot of health benefits. 

Turmeric, Ginger, Honey Shots


Firstly, you may want to wear gloves as working with turmeric badly stains clothes or any fabric. 

Gather your ginger and turmeric and peel the outer layer of its skin. Then chop them into manageable sizes for your juicer or blender. 

Squeeze and add the juice of lemons as desired and blend thoroughly. 

If using a blender, you can add the pulp to a cheese cloth and squeeze out the juice into a clean container and you should be left with a bright yellow elixir of amazing benefits! 

Store this in little 50-60ml bottles or in a tightly sealed container and store in the fridge. 

Take at least one shot a day and add this to your morning routine for best results! 

Lemon, Ginger & Honey


Simply add freshly chopped ginger to boiling water and let it steep in the water for 5-7 minutes, or until the water has taken on a strong ginger flavour. 

Pour the ginger water into a mug. 

Squeeze the juice of one lemon into the mug. 

Stir in 2 tablespoons of honey, or to taste. 

Let the drink cool to a desired temperature and enjoy! 

Note: You can enjoy this drink easily with our Ginger Health Drinks! Alternatively, you can also add additional spices such as cinnamon or nutmeg, to taste if desired. 

Lemon, Ginger & Green Tea

The simple idea here is that you’re boiling together ginger, green tea bags of your choice, and a selection of other ingredients to create a very healthy drink. 

Note: If you’re using VPA®’s Ginger Health Drinks, you may find that you can skip adding sugar or honey. 

Lime-Ginger and Mint Slushie

This refreshing drink is something you can serve a crowd on a hot day. Simply use VPA®’s Ginger Health Drinks, and process all 3 ingredients in a blender with crushed ice. 

If you want to turn it into a refreshing cocktail, just add your choice of liquor! Add a bit of rum or vodka to create something sensational.
