Breakfast / High Protein
This easy protein waffle recipe with crushed Oreo™ cookies makes a delicious sweet breakfast or a great post-workout snack. Now this isn't a low carbohydrate, low calorie recipe, which makes these waffles exactly what you need to kick-start your recovery after a hard morning training session.
20g Traditional Oats
100g Banana, Mashed
1 whole egg
20g VPA Premium Whey - Vanilla
50g Cocobella Coconut Yoghurt
20g Natvia Zero Sugar Chocolate Topping
1g Icing Sugar
In a food processor or blender, blitz your oats until they become a fine powder. It should be a flour-like consistency.
In a bowl, combine oats, mashed banana, egg and protein powder. Mix until combined. Crush one oreo into the mixture and mix until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Heat up your waffle machine (I use the Kmart one). Once hot, pour in mixture and close. Allow to cook for 5 minutes or until golden.
Once the waffle is cooked, remove from the waffle maker and put on a serving plate. Dust with icing sugar, top with coconut yoghurt, and crush the remaining oreo over the top. Drizzle with chocolate topping and serve!
